Start posting in MHdiaries > MASTER_DIARY.doc on any topic as frequent as the urge arises. As mentioned in the introduction, for inspiration start by writing about current events in the news. Once thoughts and opinions are flowing, switch to other topics such as:

​favourite things such as music, food, movies, books, etc.

if you had a mantra, what would it be;

the greatest lesson ever learned;

your most deeply held belief;

wisdom and truth;

childhood dreams;

how you spend your money;

the greatest gift you could ever receive;

the most interesting thing about yourself;

if you could change one thing about yourself;

the greatest mistake you ever made;

your greatest fear;

how you would describe your character in a book;

how you would describe the character of the exact polar opposite to yourself;

your idols, mentors and heroes;

your definition of success;

your obituary;

a wikipedia.org summary of your life.

Insert a date yyyy-mm-dd on a separate line to group together all of the individual posts for the day. Some days will have many more entries than others.

Since time is often limited, do not worry about spelling, word usage, sentence construction or your ultimate heroic story during initial posts. Focus on capturing the moment or the idea.

Avoid minimizing this step down to a daily 'to do' list only. Lists are hardly the makings of a bestseller!!! Be sure to include observations, musings, confessions, event outcomes, thoughts, feelings, etc.

Be honest with yourself.

Avoid mentally crucifying yourself when putting your feelings into words. Recognize the difference between addressing your emotions and persecuting yourself.

Do not restrict yourself to text only. Consider voice recording your thoughts due to time constraints and fleeting inspirations. Do not hesitate to take videos and photos. Include metadata, news articles and related links to assist future recall.
